Privacy Policy

ERICO GROUP (“ERICO”, “we”, “us”) operates the ERICO ATG fuel-stock monitoring platform, including the ERICO ATG web dashboard and mobile application (together, the “Service”). The Service lets fuel-station operators and administrators monitor automatic tank-gauge (ATG) stock levels and submit regulatory reports to the Energy and Water Utilities Regulatory Authority (EWURA) of Tanzania.

This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices available to you. The Service is a business tool provided to staff of fuel-station companies; it is not directed at the general public or at children.

We collect only the information needed to operate the Service:

• Account information. Your name, email address, assigned role, and the company or stations you are authorised to access. These are created and managed by your employer’s administrator, not collected from advertising or public sources.
• Authentication data. A session token issued when you sign in. On mobile devices this token is held in the operating system’s secure storage and is never shared with third parties.
• Operational data. Fuel tank levels, stock volumes, delivery and throughput records, station and tank configuration, and related readings reported by station equipment. This is business data belonging to the operating company.
• Diagnostic data. Limited technical logs (such as error events) used to keep the Service reliable and secure.

We do not collect your device location, contacts, photos, or biometric data, and we do not use advertising identifiers.

• To authenticate you and secure access to the Service.
• To display real-time stock levels, reports and alerts for the stations you are authorised to view.
• To generate and submit statutory stock reports to EWURA on behalf of the operating company.
• To maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the reliability and security of the Service.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising or profiling.

• With EWURA. Stock and inventory reports are transmitted to EWURA’s NPGIS system as required by Tanzanian regulation. These submissions contain station and stock data, not your personal login credentials.
• Within your organisation. Authorised administrators of your company can see the accounts and stations under their control.
• Service providers. We use trusted infrastructure providers to host the Service. They may process data only on our instructions and under appropriate confidentiality obligations.
• Legal. We may disclose information where required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of ERICO, our users, or the public.

All communication between the app and our servers is encrypted in transit using TLS. Session tokens are stored in secure device storage. Access to operational data is scoped by role, so users see only the stations they are authorised to access. We apply administrative and technical safeguards to protect data against unauthorised access, alteration, or loss.

We retain account and operational data for as long as your organisation uses the Service and as required to meet regulatory record-keeping obligations. When data is no longer needed, it is deleted or anonymised.

Because accounts are administered by your employer, requests to access, correct, or delete your account information are handled through your company administrator. You may also contact us using the details below and we will work with your organisation to address your request in line with applicable law.

The Service is intended for use by fuel-station staff and administrators. It is not directed at children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will revise the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you within the Service.
